Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has sent congratulatory message to the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, on his “well-deserved victory” at the Appeal Court in Abuja.

Ademola Adeleke fought former Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, at the Appeal Court to retain his election as Executive Governor of Osun State.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Adegboyega Oyetola, had sought that Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the 16 July, 2022 Gubernatorial Election in the Southwestern State be nullified on the ground of over-voting.
However, on Friday 24 March, 2023, the Appeal Court in Abuja upheld Adeleke’s position as the duly elected Executive Governor of Osun State.
