President Buhari prays for Tinubu’s ‘wellbeing’ as he ‘prepares to take over mantle of leadership’

President Muhammadu Buhari has prayed for the “wellbeing” of Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he “prepares to take over the mantle of leadership”.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was declared Nigeria’s President-elect by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, after clinching victory in the 2023 Presidential Election conducted on Saturday 25 February, 2023.

President Muhammadu Buhari said: “President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu embodies many years of experience and achievements in the private & public sectors, which have helped prepare him for the historic presidential election win of February 25, 2023.


“As Asiwaju prepares to take over the mantle of leadership, I pray for his wellbeing and that of his family, and for many more years of fruitful and committed service to Nigeria and to humanity.”
