Former Nigeria women’s national team player, Perpetua Nkwocha, has sent a congratulatory message to Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen following Napoli’s Scudetto win.
Osimhen was extremely pivotal in Napoli’s first Serie A title win after more than three decades.
At Udine, the Serie A match between Udinese and SSC Napoli ended 1-1, with Osimhen levelling for Luciano Spalletti’s side after Udinese had taken the lead.
Napoli needed just one point from the encounter to clinch their first Serie A title after over 30 years – since 1990 and the Diego Armando Maradona era.
Osimhen’s leveller earned Napoli that one point, and the Partenopei were crowned the new Kings of Italy after the match.
Nkwocha called Osimhen the “Italian Champ” and went ahead to say, the Napoli Nigerian sharpshooter has clinched the record “as the African with the most goals scored per season in Serie A”.
She said: “Congratulations Victor Osimhen. Italian Champ, and for your record as the African with the most goals scored per season in Seria A.
“A prophecy fulfilled indeed.”
Celebration are still ongoing in Naples, the city where SSC Napoli is based.
• Congratulations Victor Osimhen and Napoli’!!!
