Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has done well by sending a congratulatory message to Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, after Napoli emerged Champions of Italy.
Victor Osimhen was very pivotal in SSC Napoli’s first Scudetto in more than thirty (30) years – since 1990 and the Diego Armando Maradona era.
The Nigerian sharpshooter’s equalizer earned Luciano Spalletti’s side the one point needed to clinch the Serie A 2022/23 title.
The former Governor of Lagos State tagged Osimhen “the real deal”, adding, the striker has “claimed the crown as the new King of Serie A”.
“We are all proud of him and wish him well in his remarkable career”, he said.
In his congratulatory message, Tinubu said: “I think we can all agree that there was another coronation in Italy where our son, Victor Osimhen, claimed the crown as the new King of Serie A! The real deal, or idán gangan as younger folks may describe him; Victor has continued the fine tradition of Nigeria’s footballing excellence on the global stage. We are all proud of him and wish him well in what is already a remarkable career.”
