Rustu Recber, former Turkish professional goalkeeper, turns 50 today, Wednesday 10 May, 2023.

He was born on 10 May 1973 in Korkuteli, Antalya, Turkey.
During his playing days, Rustu played as a goalkeeper for Antalyaspor, Fenerbahçe, Barcelona and Beşiktaş as well as the Turkey National Team.
Rustu was part of the Turkey National squad that reached the semi final of the 2002 FIFA World Cup hosted in South Korea and Japan.
He is Turkey’s record appearance holder with 120 caps, named the best goalkeeper in European competitions in 2002 and selected for the 2002 UEFA Team of the Year by public vote.
He won the Turkish Super Lig with Fenerbahce (1995/96, 2000/01, 2004/05, 2006/07) and Besiktas (2008/09)
