Owners of a cat have been left “deeply distressed” after their pet was shot dead in Harrogate, the Police said.

The cat, Timmy, was discovered dead by a neighbour in the Newby Crescent area of the town on 5 May.
According to officers, the pet is believed to have been shot dead with a pellet gun or an air rifle.
Spokesperson of the North Yorkshire Police said, “Understandably, Timmy’s family have been left deeply distressed following the incident”.
