The Imo State Governorship Election will be conducted in November, 2023.
The outcome of the 2023 Presidential Election conducted in Imo State, says, Uzodimma’s party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) amassed 66,171 votes, while the Labour Party (LP) amassed more than 300,000 votes.
The 2023 Presidential Election was conducted on Saturday 25 February, 2023, and it produced ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s President-elect.
Uzodimma said, the Imo State forthcoming Governorship Election will be a different exercise entirely, and confidently added, he possesses all that is required to win a second term in November, 2023.
The Governor told Channels TV: “Presidential election in Nigeria is not calculated or used to assess governorship election. In a presidential election, the result is called according to votes in all states of Nigeria. In the number of votes cast in Nigeria, APC won.
“In the governorship election, the result will be based on votes cast in Imo State. And until that is done nobody is going to beat his chest to tell you this is going to be the result.”
