Fruit of the Spirit
The Fruit of the Spirit is meant to be shared. One of the ways through which the Holy Spirit builds the qualities of Christ in the life of a Christian is by leading them to act on behalf of others.

Fruit of the Spirit – “Faith…against such there is no law'” |
- Faith: A Christian that exhibits faith is loyal, committed, trustworthy, dedicated and suchlike. This characteristic is seriously significant to God Almighty. No matter what a Christian is faced with, God expects him to be steadfast in his faithfulness to Him also to the people in different areas of his life. James 1:12 – “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”
- Meekness: The pattern through which a Christian engages with others is what this Fruit of Meekness is all about. Being able to perceive when to apply a gentle word or touch is a gift of high value of the Spirit. In time of tension particularly, when aggressive words or actions are the expected first reaction, the Christian who responds with meekness is nothing but a true reflection of Jesus Christ. Proverbs 15:1 – “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.”
- Temperance: This can also be called Self-control. This brings to conclusion Paul’s list of the Fruit of the Spirit. Due to the sin nature of man, everyone has personality stained with negative qualities. It can be a huge battle overpowering these negative qualities. The Fruit of Temperance/Self-control when wielded can be pivotal in making the right decisions. The power of the Holy Spirit in Christians help them establish and conquer areas of weaknesses. Self-control helps us say ‘No’ to “ungodliness and worldly lusts”. Titus 2:11-12 – “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;”
Building the Fruit of the Spirit is a lifelong race and process. There are those times when a Christian goes astray from the ways of the Spirit.
However, the Holy Spirit is merciful and faithful. In a loving manner, He guides His followers back to the right direction.
Through the Grace of God and the awesome power of the Holy Spirit, the Christian, with each step taken, transforms, grows and yields more of the Fruit that reflects Christ.
