FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023: Australia 0(7)-(6)0 France – Co-hosts through to semis

Australia scaled through France to reach the semi finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

The Matildas defeated France in a penalty shootout 7-6 after a goalless draw at Suncorp Stadium, Milton, Australia on Saturday 12 August, 2023.

France’ Feller missed the decisive penalty in shootout to hand the Co-hosts ticket to the last four of the tournament.

Australia will lock horns with either England or Colombia in the semi final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

It is the first time Australia is reaching the semi finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
