Shehu Sani has made some comments about Nigeria’s newly appointed Minister of State for Defence.

Bello Matawalle, former Governor of Zamfara State, served from 2019 to 2023.
Sani said, “This is a challenge for Matawalle to takeout Turji,Aleru and other terrorist kingpins in his state.”
He said: “Matawalle is the Minister of State for Defence and not the ‘Senior’ Minister.His presence there factored Zamfara and its banditry challenges.This is a challenge and an opportunity for him to takeout Turji,Aleru and other terrorist kingpins in his state.The ‘Senior’ Minister for Defence has no experience in Defence matters.A retired Army,Airforce or Naval officer is the best for Defence.”
