La Roja captain, Olga Carmona, netted the only goal of the game for Spain in the 29th minute as they dominated the encounter all through.
It is the first time ever Spain is winning the FIFA Women’s World Cup, as well as the fifth team to clinch the trophy after the United States of America (USA), Norway, Germany and Japan.
