The Best FIFA Fan Award 2023: Three nominees make list

Three nominees made the list for the Best FIFA Fan Award 2023.

The List of nominees:

  1. Fan Colon de Santa Fe: A Colón de Santa Fe fan was seen on TV cradling his son in his arms while feeding him his bottle during the Argentinian top-tier encounter against Barracas Central, demonstrating his will to kindle a passion for the club in his child from an early age.
  2. Fran Hurndall: Dribbling a football for an average of 32km a day for 32 days from the Gold Coast to Sydney, Fran Hurndall aimed to inspire women and girls to dare to dream and fulfil their potential. Her 1,000km run raised money for the Women Sport Australia charity.
  3. Miguel Angel: Colombian youngster Miguel Ángel, who was a big Millonarios fan, fulfilled his final wish before being euthanised due to an unknown illness. On the eve of his passing, he met the first-team squad ahead of their league clash against Alianza Petrolera.

The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023™ are coming into view, with voting for several of the prestigious honours getting under way on 14 September.
Fans of the beautiful game from across the globe will be able to cast their vote in a number of categories as FIFA crowns the leading performers from women’s and men’s football.
The qualifying period for the women’s awards – Best Women’s Player, Best Women’s Coach and Best Women’s Goalkeeper – was from 1 August 2022 to 20 August 2023, the date of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Final.
For the men’s awards – Best Men’s Player, Best Men’s Coach and Best Men’s Goalkeeper – the qualifying period was between 19 December 2022 to 20 August 2023.
Fan voting in all of the above categories will commence via FIFA’s digital platforms on 14 September when the respective shortlisted nominees are announced, along with The FIFA Fan award.
Voting for The FIFA Puskás Award, which will be presented to the scorer of the best goal in the relevant qualifying period – between 19 December 2022 and 20 August 2023 – will take place from 21 September.
