In the early hours of Saturday, Palestinian fighters called Hamas infiltrated Israel, killing several Israelis and taking many others hostage.
Israel on Saturday launched ‘Operation Swords Of Iron’ to fight back and defend their country from Hamas.
According to an official UK source, “more than 10” British citizens are feared dead or missing in Israel following attacks surprisingly launched by Hamas on Israel on Saturday morning.
Countries have started evacuating their citizens from Israel as fighting heightens in the country.
Also, the United States (US) government has confirmed, nine of its citizens have been killed in Israel since the fighting started on Saturday.
The Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has declared “we are at war” following the early morning surprise attack by Hamas on the country on Saturday.
Via a statement, the White House said: “We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and to the families of all those affected, and wish those injured a speedy recovery.
“We continue to monitor the situation closely and remain in touch with our Israeli partners, particularly the local authorities.”
