Attack On Israel: ‘We must act decisively to achieve a two-state solution’ – President Macron

President of France, Emmanuel Macron, supports a “two-state solution; Israel and Palestine” to put an end to the unrest within the region.

The fighting between Palestinian militants known as Hamas and Israel started after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel in the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023, killing hundreds of Israelis and taking several others hostage.

Israel responded massively by bombarding Gaza and hideouts of Hamas.

The fighting has resulted to the killing of thousands of innocent civilians both Israelis and Palestinians.

The situation has forced World leaders – the United States and Europeans leaders to take a stand together and support a “two-state solution” to put to rest the fighting and ensure peace is restored.

President Macron said: “Today we must act decisively to finally achieve a two-state solution: Israel and Palestine.”

The French President visited Israel on Tuesday 24 October, 2023 “to express the identification of the French with the Israeli people”.
