The nominations for the Grammy Awards 2024 which is the 66th Edition of the event has been announced.
The event will return to Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024; it features three (3) new categories: ‘Best African Music Performance’, ‘Best Alternative Jazz Album’ and ‘Best Pop Dance Recording’.
Afrobeats Megastar, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu professionally known as, Burna Boy, was nominated under ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ and ‘Best African Music Performance’.
Albums by Nigerian Megastars – Burna Boy’s ‘I Told Them’ and Davido’s ‘Timeless’ got nominated under the ‘Best Global Music Album’ Category.
Temilade Openiyi professionally known as, Tems, bagged nomination under the ‘Best Song Written For Visual Media’ for her contribution in the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Movie soundtrack ‘Lift Me Up’.
Ayra Starr and Asake bagged nominations under the ‘Best African Music Performance’ Category.
