Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are the current Champions of the World following their beautiful triumph over Brazilian club, Fluminense, in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup 2023 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday 22 December, 2023.

On the strength of the Premier League, at his press conference ahead of the encounter, Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, said: “The lower teams at the bottom [of the table] get results as well. Maybe last season it didn’t happen much but it’s common. All of us are struggling to get results in a comfortable way. It shows how tough it is, be patient. It’s never over. Go game by game.”
On how 2023 has been, Guardiola said: “Not bad at all… it was good, really good.”
On injury updates, Guardiola said: “Nothing has changed from the last game. The same [players] are injured plus John Stones.”
