The Super Eagles discomfited Guinea-Bissau 1-0 in the final Group match to reach the knockouts of the tournament.
Nigeria qualified from Group A alongside Equatorial Guinea after finishing Runners-up and toppers respectively, with host country, Ivory Coast and Guinea-Bissau kicked out.
In the last Group encounter, Ivory Coast got humiliated by Equatorial Guinea by four goals to nil.
Nigeria will face Cameroon in the AFCON 2023 round of 16 on Saturday 27 January, 2024 in Abidjan at 21:00 (WAT).
According to the Super Eagles: “Bracing up for our next encounter against our old rivals, The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Abidjan in the R16.”
