United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, has made known his support for a “two-state solution” to put an end to the fighting between Israel and Palestinian fighters, known as, Hamas.

The fighting between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip has turned almost every structure to rubbles.
The UN Chief said, “the Palestinian people have the right to simply live as human beings in their own land.”
His statement is coming after US President, Donald Trump, announced, the “US will take over the Gaza Strip”.
Guterres said, “In the search for solutions on Gaza, we must not make the problem worse”, adding, “It is vital to stay true to the bedrock of international law”.

It is essential to avoid any form of ethnic cleansing.
“The Palestinian people have the right to simply live as human beings in their own land.
The @UN is fully committed to peace, stability, and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
“We must reaffirm the two-State solution.
Any durable peace will require tangible, irreversible & permanent progress toward the two-State solution, an end to the occupation, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian State, with Gaza as an integral part.”
