President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, is urging Europe “to reduce dependencies on energy, key technologies and defence.”

She added, “It is time for Europe to defend our interests and values ourselves.”
According to Von der Leyen: “It is time for Europe to step up.
To defend our interests and values ourselves.
To reduce our dependencies in energy, key technologies and defence.
We need to start working on the future of our security architecture, encompassing all these dimensions.”
