Navalny’s Death: Body of Russian opposition leader arrives Moscow church for funeral service

Hundreds are converging in Moscow for the funeral of Alexei Navalny, Russian opposition leader.

Navalny died in the Arctic Prison colony where he was serving a 19-year sentence.

Police presence is heavy in the city with masked guards stationed around a perimeter fence.

The people who have converged are aware they risk arrest by attending and showing support for a well-known critic of the government.

According to the bbc.com:

A number of foreign dignitaries, including the US ambassador were seen near the church.

Few details have been released on the cause of his death – officials say he collapsed after going for a walk.
