The U.S. Secret Service has officially ended its physical protection of former President, Jimmy Carter, on Friday 10 January, 2024 “after an agency record of 49 years and two months of service”, as disclosed by Kelly O’Donnell, Senior White House Correspondent.

O’Donnell wrote: “Final chapter: U.S. Secret Service formally ends its physical protection of President Carter this morning after an agency record of 49 years and two months of service.”
39th President of the US, Jimmy Carter, died on Sunday 29 December, 2024 “surrounded by his family” in his home Plains, Georgia.
A State funeral was held in his honour on Thursday 9 January, 2025 at Washington National Cathedral, Washington DC.
Former Presidents, Bill Clinton, George Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump were in attendance, as well as President Joe Biden.
