Governor of the State of California, Gavin Newsom, said he wanted answers about whether there had been enough water to fight the initial fires.

Mandatory evacuations were ordered in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles on Friday evening as the Palisades fire quickly expanded.

The largest area in Los Angeles threatened by the expansion of the wildfire encompassed the Getty Center as well as parts of the Brentwood and Encino neighborhoods.

Ten (10) people have been confirmed dead.
