According to NEMA: “The distribution of food items donated by Saudi Arabia based international humanitarian organization, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) continue in Jigawa State after the official flag off in Hadejia.
“Director General NEMA Mrs Zubaida Umar was represented by the Director Special Duties Hajiya Fatima Suleiman Kasim in flagging off the distribution.
The Director General of NEMA announced the distribution of 1,750 food baskets donated by KSrelief to vulnerable households
“in Jigawa State, complimenting the Federal Government’s efforts to alleviate the impact of the global economic situation. The Executive Secretary of Jigawa State Emergency Management Agency expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, NEMA, and the Government of
“Saudi Arabia for the relief support. The Emir of Hadejia, represented at the event, thanked NEMA, President Tinubu, and KSrelief for the assistance, especially during Ramadan. Food distribution began immediately after the flag-off ceremony in Hadejia and Auyo LGAs
“with NEMA and Jigawa SEMA staff directly distributing food to beneficiaries, supported by security agencies and local.”
