At least 24 have been killed since the wildfires started, and dozens are missing, however, officials have warned, it is not yet safe to assess the true figures.
Newsom said, Los Angeles is “on the road to recovery” after seeing the level of devastation from the Eaton and Palisades Fires by himself.
According to Governor Newsom: “Seeing the devastation from the #EatonFire & the #PalisadesFire firsthand, I can’t emphasize enough the scope of the damage.
We’re on the road to recovery. 53 teams are on the ground doing housing inspections to get debris & hazardous waste removed to rebuild these communities.
“Mandatory evacuation orders have been lifted for the #SunsetFire, #KennethFire, #HurstFire, and #LidiaFire — but residents are strongly encouraged to continue heeding evacuation warnings still covering these affected areas.”
