Nigerian sharpshooter, Ademola Lookman, scored a hat-trick as Italian Serie A side, Atalanta, cruised past their German Bundesliga opponents, Bayer Leverkusen, to lift the Uefa Europa League 2023/24 trophy at Aviva Stadium, Dublin, Republic of Ireland on Wednesday 22 May, 2024.
Lookman opened scoring for the La Dea in the 12th minute, added a second in the 26th minute, and sealed victory for Atalanta in the 75th minute with his third.
Manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, will not be forgotten so easily by the La Dea faithful as the man that brought glory back to Atalanta.
The Italian manager was given the job of making Atalanta a strong club in 2016 when he joined, and apparently, he has achieved much more than that.
