2023 gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has expressed deep sadness following the collapse of a Four-Storey building in the Lagos Island area of Lagos State.

He said, it is “even more worrying is that several persons are trapped beneath the rubble”, adding, “my family and i will be praying for the victims and the brave men and women of LASEMA for the courage and wisdom to effectively manage this tragedy”.
Rhodes-Vivour said: “I’m deeply troubled by the collapse of a Four-storey building in Lagos Island this afternoon. Even more worrying is that several persons are trapped beneath the rubble.
“I urge residents of Lagos Island to cooperate with the relevant rescue and emergency agencies to save as many lives as possible. My family and i will be praying for the victims, and it is our hope that no life is lost in this unfortunate tragedy.
“I’d also be praying for the brave men and women of LASEMA for the courage and wisdom to effectively manage this tragedy.”
