Former US President, Barack Obama, has come out to hail US President, Joe Biden, saying, “Biden is a leader with character”, adding, “he put Politics aside and did what was right”.

Obama continued, “four years ago, in the middle of a pandemic and at a time when our economy was reeling, he drove what would become the world’s strongest recovery – with 17 million new jobs, historic wage gains, and lower health care costs.”
Obama’s praises are coming as US President, Joe Biden, gears up to leave the White House for Donald Trump, who takes over on Monday 20 January, 2024.
Donald Trump of the Republican Party emerged 47th President of the US after defeating Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party in the US Presidential Election 2024 which held on Tuesday 5 November, 2024.
Obama wrote: “Four years ago, in the middle of a pandemic, we needed a leader with the character to put politics aside and do what was right. That’s what @JoeBiden did.
At a time when our economy was reeling, he drove what would become the world’s strongest recovery – with 17 million new jobs, historic wage gains, and lower health care costs. He passed landmark legislation to rebuild our nation’s infrastructure and address the threat of climate change.
I’m grateful to Joe for his leadership, his friendship, and his lifetime of service to this country we love.”
