Israel V Hamas: ‘The plan is going forward, we continue until we achieve our goals’ – IDF Chief to troops in Rafah

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) is determined to “achieve our goals” in the fighting against Hamas.

Maj. Gen. Yaron Finkelman, chief of the IDF Southern Command, has told troops in the city of Rafah, “the plan is going forward” until objectives are reached.

He also said, IDF has “quality forces and quality commanders” to emerge victorious in Rafah.

According to timesofisrael.com:

The chief of the IDF Southern Command Maj. Gen. Yaron Finkelman while visiting troops in southern Gaza’s Rafah this week, says the military will not stop until its objectives are achieved in the Strip.

“The plan is clear going forward. With the quality of the forces and the quality of the commanders here, we continue to move forward until we achieve our goals,” Finkelman says in a video released by the army, from the general’s visit to Rafah on Wednesday.

The fighting between Israel and Hamas started in the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023 after Hamas launched a surprise attack on the Southern region of Israel.

Hamas’ surprise attack resulted to the killing of hundreds of Israelis with many others taken hostage.

The IDF few days ago announced it rescued four (4) Israeli hostages during a “complex” raid in Central Gaza.
