The Ivorian helped Ruben Amorim’s United to a 3-1 comeback win over the Saints with his hat-trick at Old Trafford.
In the Premier League match on Thursday 16 January, 2025, Southampton took the lead in the 43rd minute when Manuel Ugarte scored in his own net, before Amad ensured Manchester United did not suffer a fourth straight home defeat with his treble in the 82nd, 90th minutes and 4th minute of additional time.
Amad clinched United’s Player and Goal Of The Month award for December.
