The Dutchman is making the statement ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Few days ago, Ten Hag put pen to paper for a contract extension that will keep him at Old Trafford until June, 2026.

Following his contract extension at Man United, Erik ten Hag said: “I am very pleased to have reached agreement with the club to continue working together. Looking back at the past two years, we can reflect with pride on two trophies and many examples of progression from where we were when I joined.”

He led Manchester United to the final of the FA Cup 2023/24 and went ahead to discomfit neighbours, Manchester City, 2-1 to lift the trophy.

Ahead of the new season, Ten Hag said: “I know with the set-up at the club, with the changes to the structure, and the changes to infrastructure here around Carrington, we will be ready for the future.

“We will improve. It gives a new energy, a new dynamic and that will help us achieve our target.”
