The former US President survived an assassination attempt at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday 13 July, 2024; he sustained a wound in his ear, however, no serious injury.
The joint rally with Sen. JD Vance is the first for both since they became GOP’s nominees officially at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee.
At the meeting of the Republicans, Mr Trump preached unity, following the shooting in Pennsylvania which resulted to one casualty.
Trump said, at the convention, “I am running to be president for all of America, not half of America, because there is no victory in winning for half of America.”
