France losing 1-3 fought and levelled before eventually falling in extra time; conceding two goals in a space of 10 minutes.
The hosts went ahead in the encounter at Parc des Princes through Enzo Millot, however, Fermin Lopez netted a brace and Alex Baena made it 3-1 after 28 minutes via a free kick.
Maghnes Akliouche scored the second for France before Jean-Philippe Mateta found the back of the net to equalize for France.
Sergio Camellio sealed victory for Spain with the fourth and fifth goals in the 100th and 120+1 minutes.
