Israel V Hamas: ‘For the first time since w*r started, Israel announce displaced people could return to evacuated areas’ – UNOCHA

United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) said, “Israel military announced for the first time since the war began, displaced people could return to certain evacuated areas”.

The UN agency with the mission to “help humanitarian organizations save the lives of people caught in crises”, further said, “In August, the number of aid missions denied access by Israeli authorities nearly doubled compared to July”.

The fighting between Israel and Hamas started in the morning of Saturday 7 October, 2023 after Hamas struck Israel by surprise, killing thousands of Israelis with many other taken hostage.

According to UNOCHA: “In August, the number of aid missions denied access by Israeli authorities nearly doubled compared to July.


For the first time since the war began, the Israeli military announced that residents and displaced people could return to certain evacuated areas.”
