Manchester United will lock horns with Liverpool in the Premier League 2024/25 match at Old Trafford on Sunday 1 September, 2024.
The Dutch coach confirmed Rasmus Holjund will not field for United due to injury he picked up during pre-season; also Mason Mount suffered a minor muscle issue which will keep out of action for some games.
On Holjund, when asked a potential return date, Ten Hag said: “We have to see how it develops, how we can progress during the break, to get match fit.
“He returned on the [training] pitch but it will take a while before he is up. Everyone has seen, it [the injury] happens in the first game [of Tour 2024], so he needs also to build some fitness.”
