Wales: Woman spends 24 hours on tiny island to raise cash

65-year old Di Mills spent a whole day and night camped on a tiny 1.5 acre inlet off the coast of Amlwch on Anglesey, with the aim to help her community purchase and renovate a boat house to keep it away from the hands of property developers.

She took this risk in fierce wind and rain on a small uninhabitable island to raise £100,000.

After spending Tuesday night camped on the tiny island, Ms Mills safely returned to her own village Rhosybol, Anglesey, Wales.

She said, she hopes the money raised will help locals stop property developers purchasing a historic boat house in Anglesey.
