On how to prevent Cholera, the NCDC cautions: “this rainy season:
- Only consume water from safe sources
- Stop open defecation
- Dispose of trash properly
- Ensure proper drainage of sewage

About Cholera:
According to NCDC: “Cholera is a water-borne disease, spread by contaminated food or water. Causes acute watery diarrhoea (watery stool), vomiting, and if left untreated can lead to death within hours.”
