The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has deployed personnel for search and rescue works with Vice President, Kashim Shettima, leading a high-powered Federal Government delegation to oversee the situation of things in the affected areas and to commiserate with the people and government of Borno State.
NEMA disclosed it is distributing relief materials to the flood victims in Shira/Giade Federal Constituency in Bauchi State.
According to NEMA Nigeria: “The Director General represented by the Head NEMA Gombe Operations Office GOO at Giade during the distribution of relief materials to victims of flood disaster.
“The relief materials consisting of food and non food items was directly distributed ward by ward at the Constituency.
Stakeholders present during the exercise inludes: Legislative Aid of the honourable member representing Shira Giade federal Constituency, Giade LG chairman
“and his officials,securities and Media.
The exercise took place at the premises of Giade local government secretariat.
