Israel V Hezbollah: Japanese firm Icom says it stopped producing model of radios used in blasts in Lebanon 10 years ago

Icom, Japanese firm, has disclosed, it stopped the production of the model of radios used in Wednesday’s blasts in Lebanon ten (10) years ago.

The attacks in Lebanon on Wednesday, thought to be carried out by Israel, were the second phase of explosions in two (2) days of communications devices used by Hezbollah.

Targeting Hezbollah’s communication devices, after two rounds of explosions in Lebanon, Hassan Nasrallah, its Leader, is expected to make a statement on Thursday.

On Tuesday, explosions of Hezbollah pagers killed at least twelve (12) and wounded more than 2,500.

On Wednesday, exploding radios killed at least twenty (20) and injured more than 400, as disclosed by Lebanese Health Ministry.

Yoav Gallant, Defence Minister of Israel, declared on Wednesday, the start of a “new phase” of the war as the Israeli Army turns its focus to the Northern front with Lebanon.

Gallant said: “We are at the start of a new phase in the war – we are allocating resources and forces to the northern arena and our mission is clear: ensuring the safe return of Israel’s northern communities to their homes. To do so, the security situation must be changed.”

To avoid overcrowding, the wounded have been taken to different hospital across Lebanon.
