Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, received former Super Eagles of Nigeria head coach, Jo Bonfrère, as Ogun State prepares to host the National Sports Festival (Gateway Games 2024) in January, 2025.
According to Governor Abiodun: “In the company of my Commissioner for Sports, Mr. Wasiu Isiaka, we had the pleasure of receiving Mr. Jo Bonfrère, the former coach of the Nigeria National Football Team, during a courtesy visit. Our discussions centred on exploring various potential partnerships in sports and talent development within our beloved state.
This meeting is particularly important for the teeming youths of the Gateway State, especially as we prepare to host the National Sports Festival (Gateway Games Ogun 2024) in January 2025.
“These partnerships aim to create opportunities that will harness their immense potential, empowering them to excel both locally and globally. By promoting youth engagement, we are laying the foundation for their success while contributing to the overall growth and development of Ogun State.”
