An unforeseen meeting:

It is virtually six (6) months on from the League Phase showdown between PSG and Bayern Munich in the French Capital, Paris.

Vincent Kompany’s Bavarians will return to Parc des Princes to fight for a ticket to the UCL 2025/26 final on Tuesday. The same venue they emerged victorious over the Les Parisiens by two (2) goals to one (1) in the preliminaries on November 4, 2025.

Since inception of the competition, Bayern Munich have been excellent, carting eleven (11) victories from twelve (12) encounters, and have also won the Bundesliga 2025/26 with five (5) games remaining after a 4-2 win over VfB Stuttgart on April 19, 2026.

In the meantime, PSG have also been stunning in the 2025/26 season as they top the Ligue 1 2025/26 with sixty-nine (69) points, and trailed by Lens, who had amassed sixty-three (63) points.

In the knockout phase, the Les Parisiens kicked out AS Monaco, and then went on to humiliate Chelsea out of the tournament, winning with a whopping 8-2 aggregate.

PSG will be eyeing to keep their progress in the tournament when they clash with their German visitors on Tuesday night.

PSG and Bayern Munich Current form:

PSG have netted at least two (2) goals in their last eight (8) Uefa Champions League knockout matches. This means the Les Parisiens have levelled the record set by Spanish side, FC Barcelona, between 2015 and 2016.

Georgian winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, has been involved directly in thirteen (13) goals in the UCL 2025/26; netting eight (8) and providing five (5).

After netting thirty-eight (38) goals each, PSG and Bayern both have the two (2) best attacks in the Uefa Champions League this season.

There might be some reliance by Kompany on his 40-year old German goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, who has recorded 159 Uefa Champions League appearances for the Bavarians.

With a good connection with Jonathan Tah, French defender, Dayot Upamecano, has established himself as a leader of the German side’s defence.

Bayern Munich’s midfield will be missing Tom Bischof and Raphael Guerreiro, as both will staying out with injuries, as confirmed by Kompany.

The Bavarians remain a side to fear as they possess a well-built trio in the attack – Luis Diaz, Michael Olise and Harry Kane.

In his debut season at Bayern Munich, Diaz has netted twenty-five (25) goals and recorded twenty (20) assists; and, on the right wing, Frenchman, Michael Olise, has not stopped glowing. The France international has scored nineteen (19) times and provided twenty-nine (29) times in this current campaign.

Another big threat to the defence of PSG is England Captain, Harry Kane, who have been brilliant this season in front. Kane has netted fifty-six (56) goals and assisted six (6) times in the 2025/26 season.

Also, Senegalese striker, Nicolas Jackson, can pose a threat to the Ligue 1 toppers after scoring ten (10) goals and recorded four (4) assists if brought on from the bench.
