The Governor said, “this portal aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal on poverty reduction”, adding, it “also supports various empowerment programs, including the Youth Business Support Scheme, ARISE Entrepreneurial Support, and Bursary Educational Grants”.

According to Governor Eno: “I’m proud to announce the launch of the ARISE Youth Employment Portal, a one-stop platform designed to provide job opportunities for Akwa Ibom youth, as part of our commitment to fulfilling the promises made in my Charter with Akwa Ibom youths.

This portal aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal on poverty reduction and will showcase available job opportunities segmented by skill sets, allowing both the private sector and civil service to efficiently recruit from our talented workforce.

The portal also supports various empowerment programs, including the Youth Business Support Scheme, ARISE Entrepreneurial Support, and Bursary Educational Grants.

Additionally, I am excited to share plans to inaugurate a State Inter-Labour Committee that will ensure companies operating in Akwa Ibom engage indigenous human resources and implement transparent employment practices.

Through this initiative, we can ensure the youth are gainfully employed, especially in sectors such as Ibom Watch and Health/Safety monitoring, which are set to recruit thousands.

I urge all Akwa Ibom youths to take advantage of this opportunity to secure meaningful employment and contribute to the development of our state.”
