Premier League 2024/25: Arsenal 2-2 Liverpool – ‘We didn’t show our best and it cost us in the end’ – Saka

Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka, said, his side did not perform well in the top flight encounter against Liverpool on Sunday which cost them maximum points.

Saka said, “we didn’t show our best and it cost us in the end.”

Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw in the Premier League 2024/25 match against Liverpool at Emirates Stadium on Sunday 27 October, 2024.

Saka opened scoring for Mikel Arteta’s side, Virgil Van Dijk levelled for Liverpool, Merino placed Arsenal back in front, but, Mohamed Salah equalized for Arne Slot’s side for both sides to share the spoils.

In his post-draw comments, Saka said: “I feel like we didn’t show our best selves for 90 minutes and it cost us in the end. We believe we should have won it.”

The playmaker’s opener on Sunday was his 50th Premier League goal as a Gunner. He pleaded with fans for more support as Arsenal have “got a tough few matches coming up”.

Saka said: “We’ve got a tough few matches coming up, so keep supporting us.”
