Englishman, Mason Mount, saved Manchester United from more trouble when he struck home in a 2-1 comeback triumph over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League 2025/26 match on Sunday 30 November, 2025.
It was an “impressive” appearance for English left back, Luke Shaw, as he recorded his “300th outing” for Manchester United.
Mount, 26-year old midfielder, fired in from a perfectly worked set-piece after being teed up by Portugal International, Bruno Fernandes.
On Shaw, Manchester United posted on X: “An impressive showing from Luke on his 300th outing for the club”.
Jean-Philippe Mateta’s first goal in the 33rd minute was cancelled by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), but, the French striker continued to search for goal and found in the 36th minute from the penalty spot, after being brought down by Leny Yoro in the area.
Ruben Amorim’s Reds were outclassed by the Eagles, but, with determination, the visitors levelled through Joshua Zirkzee, who converted Fernandes’ assist in the 54th minute.
Once again, Fernandes supplied for Mount, who ensured to perfectly convert with a rifle in the 63rd minute, to hand United all crucial three (3) points.
To prevent further damage after Mateta scored in the first half, Amorim deployed defenders, Matthijs De Ligt and Luke Shaw.
Following the win, Manchester United posted on X expressing gratitude to fans for a “successful Sunday”, saying, the win would not have been possible without their support and love.

After recording two (2) beautiful assists that resulted to Manchester United’s goals, Bruno Fernandes was awarded the Player Of The Match award.
