AS Monaco fought through with ten (10) men to defeat League toppers, Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG), in the Ligue 1 2025/26 match by a lone goal on Saturday 29 November, 2025 at Stade Louis II, Monaco.
Takumi Minamino netted the only goal of the clash for Sébastien Pocognoli’s side in the 66th minute from Aleksandr Golovin’s cross; the Japan international struck into the bottom corner from 16 yards.
AS Monaco had to end the encounter with ten (10) men when German defender, Thilo Kehrer, was sent off for a professional foul on Ibrahim Mbaye following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review.
The home side brought former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, into action very late, in the 86th minute, to replace goalscorer, Minamino.

It was the Frenchman’s first home appearance for the club and only his second match in over two (2) years after a doping ban.
Luis Enrique’s Les Parisiens fought really hard for a leveller in additional time, however, Vitinha had a shot saved and Joao Neves was unable to find the back of the net with a header.
In the end, Pogba and teammates carted maximum points; the former Juventus player encouraged his side to “build from this”.
In his post-PSG comments on X, Pogba said: “Home debut

With this result, AS Monaco have climbed up to fifth on the table with twenty-three (23) points, while, PSG, sit on the summit with thirty (30) points.
Marseille, who could have taken the top spot from PSG, finished 2-2 against Toulouse later on Saturday.
