Umo Eno, Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, has signed the ₦695 billion 2025 Supplementary Budget into law on Wednesday 8 October, 2025.
He said, the “decisive step” will ensure the development goals of the South-South State are “fast-tracked”, as well as, bolster service delivery across the State.
Eno announced, he has approved the release of ₦60 billion to contractors to help with the “timely completion” of crucial projects.
Governor Eno made known: “Yesterday, I signed the ₦695 billion 2025 Supplementary Budget into law, a decisive step to fast-track our development goals and strengthen service delivery across Akwa Ibom State.
“To ensure the timely completion of key projects, I have also approved the release of ₦60 billion to contractors whose payment certificates are ready.”
The Governor said, he is committed to running a government that is “transparent and accountable” as the ARISE Agenda outlines.
Governor Eno said: “We remain committed to running a transparent and accountable government in line with our governance blueprint, as outlined in the Arise Agenda.
“Together, we will continue to build our dear State, where the pursuit of the common good, shared prosperity, and renewed hope are the enduring articles of faith.”
