Enyimba Football Club emerged victorious over Bayelsa United in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2025/26 match on Sunday 14 September, 2025 at Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State.
Chidera and Nweke scored both goals for the People’s Elephants.
Enyimba are now toppers of the NPFL table with eight (8) points while Bayelsa United are 8th with six (6) points.
On the other sides, Finidi George’s Rivers United defeated Shooting Stars by a lone goal and are second with eight (8) points, same as Enyimba; and newly promoted Kun Khalifat FC stunned El Kanemi Warriors with a 3-1 victory in Owerri, Imo State.
Defending Champions, Remo Stars, were beaten by Plateau United; the Ogun State-based club are sixth with seven (7) points.
