Reno Omokri replied: “Dear Sarki,

Thank you for this opinion. However, remember what prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, said about anger. In fact, one of the Sahaba, Ali bin Abi Talib, a cousin to the prophet, said as follows:

“Never make a decision when you are angry, and never make a promise when you are happy.”

It is believed he heard this from his cousin, the prophet.

The mistreatment of the youths while under arrest stands condemned and is being addressed. But do not because of this unfortunate and one of event harbour anti-Nigerian sentiments.

Please be mindful of the fact that some people have been stoking the outrage from this incident, not because they love Arewa, but because they love secession and want Nigeria to break up. Thus, they see this as an opportunity to create a gulf between Arewa and her natural Southern allies.

Today, they are celebrating you. But tomorrow, they may use this statement against you.

I note that because of this incident, you are bitter. But, Sarki, also be aware that because of Nigeria, we are all better!

Thanks again, and may God bless you.”
