Eredivisie side, PSV Eindhoven, came from the back twice to defeat English side, Liverpool, 3-2 in the Uefa Champions League 2024/25 League Phase match on Wednesday 29 January, 2025 at Philips Stadion.
Dutch forward, Cody Gakpo, opened scoring for the Reds in the 28th minute from the penalty spot, before Johan Bakayoko levelled for the hosts in the 35th minute.
Harvey Elliot placed Arne Slot’s side in front again in the 40th minute, but PSV quickly equalized through Ismael Saibari in the 45th minute, and Ricardo Pepi sealed victory for the Red and whites in the 6th minute of first half additional time.
This result brings Liverpool’s 100% perfect run in the UCL 2024/25 to an end.
