COP 29: ‘£1bn investment in offshore wind secured to make UK a clean energy superpower’ – PM Starmer

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Keir Starmer, said, “Securing £1 billion investment in offshore wind is a major step forward in our mission to make the UK a clean energy superpower.”

The UK PM added, the UK “will lead the world in industries of the future.”

Starmer made the statement as he participates in the ongoing COP 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

COP 29 started on Monday 11 November, 2024 and will conclude on Friday 22 November, 2024.

According to UK PM, Starmer: “Securing £1 billion investment in offshore wind is a major step forward in our mission to make the UK a clean energy superpower.


It will fire up our industrial heartlands and break down barriers to growth across the country.


We will lead the world in industries of the future.”
