Aircraft Collision At Reagan Airport: ‘Our thoughts and prayers are with the passengers and their families’ – Katz

Israel’s Minister of Defence, Israel Katz, on behalf of the State of Israel, has sent condolences to passengers and families following the aircraft collision that happened at the Ronald Reagan National Airport on Wednesday evening.

Expressing “deep sorrow” over the unfortunate incident, Katz said, “our thoughts and prayers are with the passengers and their families”.

An American Airlines passenger plane collided midair with an Army Black Hawk Helicopter at the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan National Airport, Washington DC.

According to officials, twenty-eight (28) bodies have been recovered from the River so far.

Katz, in his condolence message, wrote: “On behalf of the state of Israel, I would like to express my deep sorrow over the collision between the American Airlines aircraft and a helicopter in Washington DC. Our thoughts and prayers are with the passengers and their families. We send our condolences to those affected. Israel stands with you in this difficult time.”
